Dublin Community Support is delighted to announce our new education and training initiative, The Second Chance Programme.
The ‘Second Chance’ Programme is an agile training initiative designed to provide a high-impact, 5-to-10-minute face to face training of hands-only CPR to those most likely to witness a cardiac arrest. While comprehensive, longer-form materials are available, this programme is specifically intended as a low-barrier opportunity for individuals who might not otherwise seek formal certification.
It is important to note that this initiative is not designed to replace PHECC (Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Council) accredited training, but rather to serve as a vital introduction to life-saving skills. Anyone qualified at a Cardiac First Response (CFR) level or above can become an instructor, helping to spread awareness throughout the community. Upon completion, participants receive a convenient business-card-sized certificate that doubles as a quick-reference guide for CPR essentials.
Key Program Highlights:
Fast & Accessible: A 5–10 minute "hands-only" demo for busy individuals.
Instructor Ready: Open to anyone with a PHECC CFR qualification or higher.
Portable Reminders: Participants leave with a card featuring "Key Note" reminders for emergency use
